Positive contributions really do have an impact at this stage too. So go ahead and give your opinion even if you don’t think it will count or even if you just have a general thought on cycling infrastructure as a whole.
One of the problems with our planning and public consultation systems is that negative contributions are always going to be more likely than positive ones but they are given equal weight, perhaps even negative ones given more weight.
It’s unlikely that people will go out if their way to say yes we support this specific cycling infrastructure but NIMBYs will absolutely go out of their way to complain given any opportunity.
