Wat een goed idee! De toegang tot fossiele brandstoffen blokkeren. Ik ken een Russische dictator die dat ooit deed. Groot succes voor de samenleving! Dank je wel, klimaat helden.
Goed initiatief! Kleine, vrijblijvende protestacties zijn prima, maar een breedgedragen nationale blokkade toont de politici en bedrijven dat het menens is.

The supply is only part of what’s driving current inflated energy prices, it has a lot to do with how the energy market is organized in the EU. These lead to inflated profits for energy companies. As an example, Total handed out 2,6 billion euros in dividends to shareholders last week (https://www.standaard.be/cnt/dmf20220928_96605259).
There is political discussion currently on whether and how to tax these ‘overwinsten’ in order to make the burden of Putin’s war on Ukraine not fall disproportionally on the shoulders of those less well off. Actions like these can add to the political pressure to make those necessary political interventions a reality.
