Covid rules might have eased but we’re still seeing periodic waves of infection. About 3 months ago everyone I know in Sheffield caught it within a few weeks of each other. The rest of us might be able to live with that but for care home residents it’s likely a death sentence so it makes complete sense for care homes to make rules as they see fit to keep their charges safe.
Old folks are better off committing some serious crime before they get sent to a care home…jails are awful, but quite more humane
What is the point now? These people have little time left let them see their families.
Covid policies can not be around forever
They’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t. I personally don’t understand the ‘logic’ that some people peddle saying that living with covid means that we must do everything the same as we did before.
In my view it’s a sliding scale and there needs to be some sort of balance. Something that really came out during the bad covid times was that a lot of people just don’t understand balance of risk at all.
Surprised these policies aren’t a breach of the right to family life, but what do I know. Seems mightily authoritarian.
Covid rules may have eased but covid itself certainly hasnt.
