Overqualified third-level graduates in the Irish labour market

  1. Overqualified is a very broad term. As I’ve said many times here before, I’ve seen people graduate with 2:1s with English degrees who are grammatically illiterate. Degrees should be hard to get. They should be a privilege and not a right

  2. When you only need to 40% to get a pass in a university degree, this is to be expected. The challenge is getting first class honours, 70%+
