RTL Today article from 06 Dec: [Nationwide vaccination week kicks off](https://today.rtl.lu/news/luxembourg/a/1828598.html)

I don’t want to debate vaxx or not etc., but this comment from a reader Bertie about testing really made sense:

*’The continuation of the vaccine week with the country wide self tests the following week is also an excellent way to establish how many cases are actually out there.*

*Everyone (except children who are tested at school) are being invited by letter to pick up free lateral flow self tests from a pharmacy (I just picked up mine) and* ***to test themselves at midday on Tuesday 14th December and again on Friday 17th December and to report any positive tests to*** [***covidtracking.lu***](https://covidtracking.lu)***.***

*No pain, no hassle, no vaccination certificates required, just a simple free self test to establish the full situation at a fixed time.* ***All it needs is for everyone to join in, no excuse for vaccinated people, or anti-vaxers or freedom fighters or anybody else not to participate- just show some unity for once and do it*** *- and report if you are positive.’*

  1. I’d do it if they came by every house and delivered tests, but I’m lazy to go to the pharmacy, especially since there’s always a long queue.

Since they already delivered the freaking letter I don’t get why they didn’t also just put the tests alongside it…

(I have all 3 doses and support any restriction from the gov if some people wanna know, including this one)

  2. Yep I got the tests and I put a reminder on my phone for those days to do the test. Do it people, it’s pretty much effortless and it’s potentially very helpful.
