Walked past during a beautiful summer day. The prison is on the shore and inmates were sunbathing. Sitting on the window ledge, hanging their legs and arms outside the bars.
On yksi linna…
The Prison in Vaasa has one of the best locations in the whole city. It’s right on the shore line.
I used to live across the street. I had a wonderful view of the sea if I ignored the prison
I have been there
Back in 2011 when I was studying I had summer job in Vaasa. During the first weekend in the town we went for a walk in the centrum with my mate and stopped to the benches right next to the prison to have beers.
While we were sitting there, this maybe 7 years old Romani boy cycled right past us, stopped close to the wall, stood up from his bicycle and started shouting ISII (Daddyyy in English) towards the prison.
We were o.0 for a minute with my mate and then started laughing out loud… Just perfect first impression of the town.
Some piece of shit lowlives living in perhaps the most beautiful city area in the country.
