It’s written on a label on the back of a painting, beneath this is the artists name. Would really appreciate if anybody could shed some light! 🙂

I believe it to be 3 names. first name Ruth ? Rustein. second Otto Nielsen (no doubt ) third Thorvald (Marzog maybe)

It definitely says “Otto”, but I doubt it says “Nielsen”. The ending looks more like “son”, and the “i” lacks a dot, which the rest of the “i”s in the text doesn’t.
I very much suspect this text isn’t in Danish, but we need me more context here anyway. What makes you think it is Danish? What does the painting depict?
The word on the second line might be vinterdag, translates to winter day
