‘Fairytale economics’ now a nightmare – Ian Blackford

  1. >this is now broke, broken Britain. Your homes, your pensions, your incomes are not safe under Westminster control

    >it is a cost, a risk, a price that Scotland can’t afford to pay any longer

Magnificent speech. No one is safe under the Tories

  2. > “If they have any sense of morality – if they have any backbone – they will join with us in stopping any real-terms cuts to benefits and any return to austerity.”

They didn’t under Cameron, May and Johnson. Why would they now? Maybe the threat of losing the next election might galvanise some into action, however they would easily go back to their old ways once that threat subsided. The Tories are never going to change, not permanently at least, they will only change for as long as their job requires them to.

  3. And yet despite the fairytale economics and that we can’t trust Westminster, the SNP still expect Westminster to pay pensions in an independent Scotland.

  4. Blah de blah Tory’s fault blah.

Typical SNP rhetoric when their own policies are in the dog house. NHS targets in Scotland are the worst in Britain and this is with all that extra income tax they take from Scots. Just imagine this mob trying to run a country for real. No thanks.
