  1. The only other alternative is psychopaths who believe they know what’s best for EVERYONE and historically speaking that turns out so much worse. As for why psychopaths are in charge, well… they simply outcompete people with burdensome things like “morals” and “scruples.”

  2. I love Bill Hicks and his work, but I don’t remember this quote. Where did it come from? Or is this the emerging Einsteinification of Bill Hicks?

  3. I love how this sub is mostly unemployed Marxists that are hoping the revolution will come so they can be less embarrassed about their lives.

  4. Don’t forget the pharmaceutical companies who made billions off of the vaccines, Now the oil and energy companies are making their money, Next it’s the military industrial complex who are pushing for war. It’s almost as if this was all planned out

  5. He is not wrong. The problem with those who get power is that they spend the rest of their lives trying to keep it by any means necessary even if it means fucking over their own people.

  6. The problem with posting this sort of sentiment on right wing subs like r/conspiracy and r/ireland, is that everyone will clap the and jerk themselves off over how clever they are realising that some people abuse their massive amounts of power.

But the minute you suggest doing anything about it you’ll jump right back to defending those exact seem people.

See the disparity between posting vague anti-landleech sentiments and then suggesting that we could actually get rid of them.

  7. We need to continue to sympathize, organize and act coherently, consistently in a hive state of mind.
We can turn the tables. We can. xxxLove to Ireland, my favorite island on Earth 🌎💚🫶🏼🙏🏼

  8. I care humankinnd and then me.
    I give 100% when working.
I don’t like myself but I know other people depend on me in some way.

  9. The problem is the population is composed largely of lazy, unintelligent bums who consider posting rubbish on the Internet to equate to contributing to life and humanity. They additionally feel the world owes them a living, that the “government” and “the rich” are responsible for all thier problems and life just isn’t fair.

  10. Like the Duke of Westminister allegedly said when asked how someone could become extremely wealthy …well first make sure your ancestors are extremely friendly with Guillaume le Bâtard (the French is more apt).

Oliver Bullough outlines how the Russian “oligarchs” did it in the last 30 years in How to steal a trillion.

Good post I hadn’t seen that before.

  11. Truer now than if ever was.

Climate change is set to ruin us and the world is still held to ransome by the fossil fuel industry as they try to squeeze out as much profit as they can before the end and then flee to their billionaire bunkers in NZ to try ride it all out.

  12. Favourite comedian of all time. Would love to have his take on things right now more than ever.

  13. Bill Hicks was a legend. It’s to humanity’s detriment that he died so young.

I really think he would have been a huge force of good in the world.

  14. Fuck hierarchy barely matters who you put at the top The same incentives create the same type of behavior over and over

  15. meh ….. Bill didn’t actually like people and he didn’t get paid in beads either. A talented preacher though, if preachers are your poison.

  16. When asked in an interview whatv he thought of Denis Leary.. he said he’s the donovan to my dylan

  17. the problem in Dublin at least is indeed a lack of housing. Though you could say that is brought about by land being controlled by NIMBYs and landlords

  18. Really true. There’s enough food to solve world hunger. It’s just astonishing that in this day and age we haven’t solved that problem.
