  1. In Switzerland they have to go to do military service. Not all. But he is probably carry his weapon that all are given.

  2. As an American, I’m not going to lie! I just about freak out anytime I see anyone carrying their military-issued rifles here. Guns scare me. Most people don’t bat an eye, but I legit have to sit and count my breaths.

  3. All Swiss soldiers have to shoot the “Obligatorisches” 1x every year. You don’t go in uniform for that. You take the weapon with you as it is. It’s best to go there and back directly, but I don’t think it’s explicitly forbidden to stop at Migros on the way. However, it is better to have the gun “on man” than to leave it unguarded in the umbrella stand or car!

  4. today was the last day to do obligatorisches scheissen. all throughout the day i had a hunch that i was forgetting something. now i know. fuck it ill just pay the fine

  5. Why did you photo him? It’s normal chill out. I can tel you are not Swiss just with this post, looked at your profile and I am right.

  6. Even though it’s most likely being carried unloaded and without the bolt (or whatever this rifle’s loading mechanism is) intact, it is very unsafe to carry your gun with the barrel angled at face level of people walking around you.

  7. Yeah even though most people knows about the tirs obligatoires, I wouldn’t take the gun to the supermarket, might scared people for nothing plus the barrel is pointing at head height. After all in the law it’s written that you can carry your gun only from your home to the shooting range using the fastest route. Some years aggo, I heard that some guys went for a kebab after the the tirs obligatoires, somebody was scared, called the police on them and everyone was panicking….

  8. For people from other countries that don’t have mandatory military service, it is often shocking for them to see how many people they see in a train with a gun or in military uniforms. For me, this is as unusual as seeing someone wearing a hat in public.

  9. Ngl seeing ppl in army uniforms was a bit odd to me, but i got used it pretty quick

Seeing ppl in uniform and carrying a gun i tend to give a longer look since i am not used it, even tough my dad owns 2 pistols and a hunting riffle back home

  10. Remember the guy that was pulled out of a tram by the cops with weapons drawn?

That’s why I always concealed the Fön on the way to the Obli. Why risk it that some tourist will call the cops on your ass..

  11. Sight…. You either point at the sky or at the ground, NOT IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS PEOPLE HEAD !
Am I the only one that was taught how to handle correctly a gun in a shooting club, military’s not good in security….
