Taxpayer’s Bulb bill to hit £4bn as Octopus Energy closes in on takeover

  1. If we had consolidated our energy suppliers we wouldn’t have any of this hassle.

At least Octopus are in safe hands – they have the capital and I got a great impression the time I worked with them – their system is pretty excellent. It’s called The Kraken.

  2. Add this to the £65bn of our money they spaffed up the wall over the mini budget failure and they’re on quite the streak.

  3. Similar to what we saw with the banks after the 2008 financial crisis and the rail franchises we had to bring in house after the pandemic killed off some deals. Privatisation just does not work as well as the right wing want people to believe, not unless the goal is to make a lot of profit by gutting services.

  4. I’m going to bed now .These leeches that the government allow us taxpayers to pay for and profiteer from have pissed me off so much I’m switching off.

  5. Is the Bulb CEO still getting full pay funded by taxpayers? I think I’ve read some articles about this some time ago
