Why is there no windows on this building in Limerick?

  1. I don’t know why it doesn’t have windows but it’s crying out for some street art.

  2. My guess and this would only be a guess but often if you don’t build to the height you were granted to you will lose the height. You will see the buildings next door are all that height. Maybe they could not fund the full build but this might be a loop hole. Build a facade and you retain the height for future construction

  3. There was a pale man in a flat,
With no windows, dead plants and a cat,
    Had to open the door,
    To let out the paws,
The cat left and he ain’t coming back.

  4. If you’ll give me a moment to pop on my capitalist top hat, I’m very surprised the space hasn’t been exploited for billboards and advertising, seems an ideal spot.

  5. Looks like back in the 70s [the building that used to be 9A had three floors](https://prnt.sc/xJBOmaYtvZbB), definitely not what’s there now (newspaper: Limerick Leader 1905-current, Saturday, September 25, 1976). Peter Mark was advertising for jobs in 1994 [stating that they had re-opened their premises at 9A after being “completely refurbished”](https://prnt.sc/5uNxCJ6zV3FQ) (newspaper: Limerick Leader 1905-current, Saturday, November 19, 1994)

  6. Haven’t looked at the comments yet but I can respond to most of them collectively by letting you know that no, this is not where the stabbing happens. Ur thinking of dublin there.

  7. There once was a building in Limerick,
Whose top floors were concrete, one meter thick.
The architect cried, as he viewed it with pride,
But reddit said “Wha? You’re a stupid prick!”

  8. There once was a house with no glass, seeing out was a pain in the ass, it was posted on Reddit, so you’ll never forget it and that is the end of the class.

  9. There was one a windowless building:
    The contractor denied any guilding:
    Despite the poor spot:
    Game stop set up shop:
The rent is quite low in that building.
Thank you, thank you. I’ll be accepting gold at the door.
