Liz Truss is on the horns of a trilemma | The PM must either sacrifice her party, her authority or the economy

  1. Why not all three?

The Tories will lose the next GE, but will leave Labour a ruined country to take over with no chance of rebuilding it for a generation because of Brexit.

They will then regroup with shiny new acceptable Tories after a couple of terms some time in 2030 and be well placed to take control again after Labours inevitable failures to improve the country and return it to an acceptable state.

  2. There’s no way Truss had even a shred of authority once she asked if dogs could frighten away remote control aircraft. Surprised she’s even kept herself alive at this point and not forgot to eat or something.
