Labour is riding high, but the left will never thrive within its ranks. It has to go its own way

  1. Fine words from the organisation that wrecked Labour’s electoral chances.

Most voters don’t want Momentum’s cod-Marxism (with a garnish of anti-Semitism) but they just don’t want to realise that.

  2. The snatching defeat from the jaws of victory brigade are at it again.

Will probably get few weeks out from election and group of Labour mps will start talking about need for unilateral nuclear disarmament the day after putin does a test and scare everyone back into the tories arms.

  3. I think on the left we just need to accept that we are never going to have an entryist victory like the far right have had, simply because we don’t have the funds for the kind of propaganda and social discussion control that they have. We should look more to the center-right think tanks and slowly drip-feed ideas and policies until the public recognize that we are right.

  4. At least buried in the article he acknowledges that this would require PR. Under the current system, the left isn’t going to thrive under a split either.

  5. Sorry but the far left and far right are both extreme minorities and both as bad as each other.

If you want communism then you need to accept you’re either going to be at odds with most normal labour voters, or need to join another party.
