The jail time is one thing to be ashamed off in my opinion, however not giving them a lifetime ban on driving is disgusting.
What does it take to genuinely have a lifetime driving ban? Being extremely old or something?

If you want to attack or kill someone in the UK, use a car. It’s widely encouraged.

Probably missed something, but seems odd to jail the passenger.
