  1. Would be a real shame if they went the way of News of the World… Not for me but I’m sure for someone.

  2. More on this in [Hello](https://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/20221006153518/prince-harry-elton-john-launch-legal-action-associated-newspapers/).

    > Unlawful acts alleged to have taken place include “the hiring of private investigators to secretly place listening devices inside people’s cars and homes, the commissioning of individuals to surreptitiously listen into and record people’s live, private telephone calls whilst they were taking place, the payment of police officials, with corrupt links to private investigators, for inside, sensitive information, the impersonation of individuals to obtain medical information from private hospitals, clinics, and treatment centres by deception, the accessing of bank accounts, credit histories and financial transactions through illicit means and manipulation”.

    > The filling goes on to claim that “the alleged crimes listed above represent the tip of the iceberg – and that many other innocent people remain unknowing victims of similar terrible and reprehensible covert acts”.

This has the potential to blow up like the phone hacking scandal.

  3. Don’t trash rags like tabloids and magazines plan for legal action taken against them? So that even if they get sued, it’s financially worthwhile to be utter dicks because their antics sells? This just seems routine and the DM will still exist for as long as there are enough people who want to read their crap.

  4. I hope they fuck them up, good and proper. Thinking Lock Stock with the hate mail being the guy getting his head battered by a car door being repeatedly slammed on it.

  5. I absolutely believe all of the allegations against DM and wouldn’t be surprised to find out they’ve done worse.

  6. Good. As for the people that work there, it was your choice of employment, you didn’t have to work there, knowing what absolute cunts they were. If you end up on the dole, Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

  7. I hope this means we’re close to seeing the end of the Daily Mail. I truly believe they are capable of much worse than News Of The World. Let’s hope they can be reunited in the tabloid graveyard.

  8.      The person who wrote that response by the *Mail* does not realise how the verb *to refute* works. To refute is to prove something false (or show that an argument is invalid or unsound). So, one cannot refute something by a mere declaration.

More importantly: I bet that the *Mail* did the things of which it is accused, and did them knowingly. For, see that paper’s history on such matters.

  9. Get ’em Harry! And Elton! It would be a very good thing if that vile hate rag could finally be shut down. I blame it for most of my Dad’s worst opinions.

  10. Please let this all be true and please let the DM get found guilty and the paper has to be shut down like the NOTW had to.

  11. Paul Dacre lied at the Leveson (I saw a clip and he flatly denied that phone hacking went on at DMG) so he could do time. Yessss

  12. I hope they bring them down, although it’s unlikely. My parents have been poisoned for years by that vile rag.

  13. Oh no, I’m really gonna miss the Megan hate on the front pages… bunch of wankers. Glad this has some traction.

  14. I hope they destroy the Daily Mail and put everyone of their journalists out of work

  15. >Paying police officials for sensitive information

Its called bribing. The plod needs to go down for that too
