The plot started like this: a rogue belgian army sniper stole a sniper-rifle, RPG and handguns & ammo. Next he shot at a Covid-expert he threatened before. When investigating the arms that were stolen, they uncover that the soldier had a history of extremist behaviour and was demoted and transferred a few times. Now he was in charge of the weapons-depot and firearms training.

It seems they made a copy/paste of a recent event in belgium

  1. So far all boxes are checked:

    * A shitload of ignored red flags in his behaviour
    * His fight for freedom against covid-measurements
    * The list with threatened persons
    * The weapons stolen
    * His car abandoned near a nature-park
    * The abandoned car being an ambush
    * The fact he’s angy on the government but is enraged by others online
    * He kills himself

    But some big faults too:

    * Wrong helicopters on the “army base”
    * Wrong camouflage in uniforms
    * No names on uniforms
    * Sign that should say “stop” says “ophouden” 🤣
    * Wrong licenseplate layout
    * The overal pronounciation of “dutch sentences” throughout the show
    * Police ars nothing like ours

  3. I mostly get quite annoyed with the severe lack of (easily checkable) details, when foreign (north american or uk) productions have plots that take place in Belgium or the Netherlands..

    Serendipitously I flipped past this channel/episode last night during a commercial break elsewhere, and upon mention of Park Hoge Kempen I was intrigued.. Soon after the mistakes and flawsstarted piling up though.. (especially the laughable “Flemish Dutch” being spoken).. so I turned it off again..

  5. They have had a few that you could tell where they got their inspiration from.
    There was one that was clearly based on the real life case of the “girls do porn” website and the search for its owner who is on the run for rape, electronic stalking etc.
