I mean, realistically speaking, they’re not going to get found are they?
The police and courts can’t protect the public from criminals, and the public effectively aren’t allowed to defend themselves against criminals (there’s no point having a right to self defence if you aren’t allowed to have anything to defend yourself with) so we’re in a situation where the public are legally required to be victims of crime.
It’s not like the entire area is absolutely blanketed with cctv cameras…
