Public won’t be told to cut energy use after Truss objects

  1. Well of course she won’t…

    That’d be bad for business.

Three months ago we were told Brexit had protected us from this. So either they were lying or she is lying.

Either way, G.E please. She has no mandate and is desperately trying to fabricate one before the next G.E.

Vis-à-vis, the anti growth coalition of everyone but the kitchen sink. Does she not realise how much this sounds like something Putin or Trump would say?

I can’t believe even Tories are swallowing this us vs them narrative. Everyone wants growth, but nowhere near everyone wants to gamble any more… We’ve had that for 12 years.

  2. I imagine most of the public will be trying to reduce their energy usage anyway, to reduce their bills.

I’d still rather the government gave the message though, like in Germany, to make it clear how big the problem is.

  3. Wouldn’t want to bring down the number on that blank taxpayer’s cheque she handed to the fossil fuel industry.

I think we’re still in the denial phase of realizing that we have a genuinely, actually, blatantly, obviously, completely corrupt and illegitimate government. Yes, here, in the UK. This is NOT just incompetence.

  4. I hear Truss doesn’t want to nanny people . How pleased do you think people are going to be during unplanned blackouts.

  5. You know, it doesn’t matter what the heck she says, I simply don’t believe a word that comes out her mouth anymore
