Home insulation: How can it cut energy bills?

  1. Insulation means nothing if you can’t afford to heat your home, so that the insulation actually does its main job of keeping the heat in.

  2. All you need is thousands of pounds spare to pay for insulation and you’ll save money!

    Easy.

  3. Where I live the temps in the winter get down to -30C or -20F and can stay that way for weeks. We could not survive without insulation in the walls and ceiling. I had around a foot of blow in in the ceiling and added another foot a couple years ago. It made a heck of a difference. Bills were lower and the house always felt drafty before that.

Blow in is a composite form and you can rent a blower at the hardware store and buy bundles of composite insulation and do it yourself.
