
While I was searching a train, I came accross several ICE options and one is ICE 939 (s) label (link to picture below). And the price is also cheaper. I’m wondering what does s label mean and is it not low quality train?

They are ‘Sprinter’ (express) trains.

The S stands for Sprinter.
They’re ICE trains with fewer stops between major cities, intended to be the fastest option for transit between major cities.
