As I read it: lot of gifts so the folks stay happy but no concrete solutions and not knowing exactly how to get the money needed.
Why suspend the ‘woonbonus’ only from 2024, does 2023 not exist in their calendar? Or do their “middle class” friends need one more year to quickly buy some more properties with the bonus rocketing the prices up in 2023?

Ik zie alleen maar besparingen op de kap van de burgers… en wat extra belastingen op de energiebedrijven. Nergens echt iets concreet over hoe dat geld terug naar de burger gaat.
Volgens mij zijn ze een oorlogsbudget/spaarpotje aan het aanleggen.
* 200 euro for energy bills
* Excess profit (no % given?) tax on energy profits
* Fluxsys needs to come up with 300 million (to be paid by…. consumers…), petroleum sector 600 million (probably will also just translate in higher fuel prices)
* Finally getting rid of the tax break for second homes!
* More flexi job options (hamburger jobs incoming?)
* No(?) employer contribution on indexed wages for the first half of next year
* Reduced options for “time credit”
* Increased taxes on tobacco
* 50 million cut on the subsidies for newspaper deliveries by bpost
* 3 billion euros of extra money for the NMBS over the next 10 years
* No wage increase for civil servants, only meal vouchers
* Pay increase for police postponed (half next year, complete in 2025)
* Freezing of party dotations
* Tax cut for ministers by 8% (why not for all senate/parliament members?)
We’re facing a budgetary shortage around €31 billion. Federal wants to reduce it with €3 to €4 billion in the course of the next 2 years.
Also no significant savings on the opex. This is too little, too late.

Of course the woonbonus for second homes stays another year so grandpa can buy that Knokke apartment cheap. Meanwhile almost no one under 30 can afford to move out of their parents’ house.
Also prepare for a shit load of strikes with them cutting back the government employee salary increase!
What happened to that tax reform? Is that a separate bill?
