Like many others I’m trying to find records from my family. My mother’s father’s parents came over from Slovakia. The problem is they updated their last name, I was able to find a paper that has the marriage date information with some names of my great grandparents and great great grandparents but that is where the trail ends. I’ve tried [familysearch.org](https://familysearch.org) I’ve tried [myhertiage.com](https://myhertiage.com) and [ancestry.com](https://ancestry.com) but can’t find anything beyond what I found. Even find a grave only has my grandparents and great grandparents.
Looking at census records in the USA I also find that my great grandfather went by his middle name and not only changed the spelling but would change where he is from.
Any other way to contact or search records to try and fill out more of my family tree?

You can find someone in Slovakia who will help you search in archives and church registers. There are a few people who do it as a hobby or professionally, maybe they are even here. I also search for people, but usually born after 1900.
