Dear landgenoten,
I am not so an expert on Belgian politics (because it is so choatic and unclear for me) =) any tips to understand it somehow is welcome.
But with the pandemic I feel like we are managed, little by litte , the goverment give us freedom or take it away, terms are used like ‘winterpakket’ for covid restrictions if it were a gift from santa claus.
I have the feeling that politicians wants to push their agenda above the health of his citizens.
Another question arose to me, why cant we watch what is discussed behind closed doors in the ‘overlegcomite’? it will be more clear why the HORECA needs to close down 23u, what the experts has to say during the discussion in the ‘overlegcomite’.
I would like to know what you guys thinks about that? Or could provide another perpective to me.
Sorry if I made grammaticale mistakes. Have a nice day :). https://imgur.com/8R6wHHb.jpg

Politics have to make decisions in a complex, dynamic, and unpredictable situation, while trying to follow the experts’ recommendations and making as little people possible angry. Which is a mission doomed to fail.
Having the overlegcomité behind closed doors prevents (sensationalist) press to spread misinformation before the end decisions are taken.
The suspicion of”pushing an agenda” makes no sense, as the overlegcomité represents so many different parties, levels of power, and individuals with as many different agendas.
To me, this pandemic has only been about politics agenda. I don’t believe there is someone sitting there in the office worrying about our asses.
The freedom we’ve lost is astonishing. We don’t realise that yet because it’s not tangible. The little of privacy we had is nearly no more.
