You can’t really blame Truss for “lurching to the right” when that was the platform she was elected on. The Conservative party membership has a significant part that is well into BNP/UKIP territory.

Braverman seems to be a more right wing version of Priti Patel. Who would have thought that was possible? If that is the company you keep, alongside your shameless Chancellor, then you are definitely leaning heavily to the right. The large donations from right wing think tanks and hedge funds managers only act as more evidence.
This country does not have a right wing party on social matters. The faster the Tories fall and Britain joins the hard right wing surge in continental Europe, the better.
