  1. > Some of the posts reference the government’s Rwanda policy, while others joke about recent flooding in Pakistan, which left almost 1,700 people dead.

I don’t relate to it but I slightly get the idea of content around the Rwanda policy but the flooding? For real?

It feels like the shitty edgy (before edge was a thing) internet humour of the late 90s and ealry 00s (that really has died out) just carried on with these guys.

  2. Nah, this is not something anyone should be ok with. As far as I can tell, he didn’t make any threats, but was just a racist prick, which shouldn’t be an arrestable offence.

  3. Jesus Christ I wonder sometimes what happened to this country, can’t get the police when your house get burgled or your car gets stolen just a crime reference number but say something online & the police are about a foot up your ass before you know what happened

No wonder there’s very little respect left for them

  4. Arrested for posting memes in a private Whatsapp group. I can’t believe people in this country are so causal with this. This would spark an outrage pretty much everywhere else.

  5. > Newsnight understands serving police officers were part of the group in question until recently, but many left following the murder of Sarah Everard, last year.

So no concern about the content until it looked like it might impact their own careers?
