Hi, I am a student of International relations at Jagiellonian University, in Cracow, Poland. This year, I’m starting writing my bachelor’s thesis about the Cyprus Matter and its influence on the Turkish integration with the European Union. In my thesis, I truly want to contain a survey-addressed to inhabitants of two parts of Cyprus-the Northern and the Southern.     Edit: Are you referring to the Turkish invasion when mentioning the “Cyprus conflict” in your questionnaire? Don’t be afraid to call it as it is.

  4. The so called “trnc” is an illegal pseudo state declared by Turkey on the territory of Cyprus which Turkey occupied with its 1974 invasion.

    The Turkish invaders ethnically cleansed the great majority of the population from the north part of Cyprus and replaced them with Turkish Settlers from Anatolia, then declared some Turkish pseudo state on territory which had been inhabited by a great majority of Greeks for 1000s of years.

    Your survey has a very obvious Turkish bias.

  5. Look, I really try to act neutral, but I think that I was misunderstood. I am aware of the fact that this topic is fragile, controversial and personal for you. Although, sometimes it is hard to use other phrases or words which are less suitable for some cases. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is a being, approved by itself and Turkey- I know that-but the fact that I used this terminology in my survey does not mean that I’m by this side of the conflict. I used it, because in my literature- I have such phrases-that’s all. So- please accept my apologies, if you took is as a bias.
