Not that anyone cares, but I’m not watching this edition. I’m probably one of the few.
The biggest statement we can make as people is not to watch/tweet/discuss anything this WK.
Fucking corrupt greedy fifa
I don’t watch football except for some ‘wk’ matches every 4 years.
I guess i’m not watching any this time.
They’re supposed to be neutral, so they’re showing both signs of the coin. In my opinion that’s the best thing to do as a public news website.
While I’m not the biggest football fan, I usually do watch certain WK matches.
Will be skipping out on this one for sure.
Niels and Wiels? Sounds like the VRT is trying to boycott the WK too by trying to scare people away
I would lie if i would say i won’t watch the football games. But i prefer games in a more civil country.
Looks logical that articles tagged with “WK voetbal” are going to be grouped together on a website.
Obviously not a fan of the WC being in Qatar but the alternative would have been having it in the US where exactly the same stuff happens, maybe not on building stadiums but people are put in jail for nothing to work for as slaves for private defense contractors.
No difference really, except we would all be celebrating how great the US is.
Wow, I’ve been boycotting football my whole life, seems this WK I’ll be finally relevant, for once.
I will not be watching the World Cup
Sportjournalistiek is altijd entertainment. Ethische waarden en integriteit hoef je niet te zoeken in een wereld van sycophanten, kontdraaiers en toogfilosofen.
En eigenlijk is het niet eens journalistiek, eerder freelance public relations.
it’s the same as anything else, we want to do the “good thing” unless it interferes with our personal pleasures or comforts, then suddenly our nose bleeds or we find excuses.
you see the same thing for:
– company cars
– air travel
– anything environment related.
Plenty of room in the bars to watch the games judging by all the people that are not going to watch.
Mijn interesse voor voetbal is sowieso al vrij laag maar voor deze editie pas ik volledig. En mijn vrouw zal ook content zijn dus dat is nog meer win-win.
I can guarantee you those articles were put close together by an algorithm and not a human. So while it feels tonedeaf, it’s not like a KNN algorithm has any notion of morality. It just noticed those articles are talking roughly about the same topic.
Football. Who cares.
Brood en spelen. (Bread and games)
In stead of boycotting Qatar we are having to end up throwing our money at them.. thanks a lot VRT
Our Ghent mayor was blowing his trumpet on how we will be able to watch it from the winter circus. Why would I want to watch anything from a country that bans rainbows because they make children gay…
Panem et circenses. There is no ‘us’.
I mean just reading the article it’s quite obvious they were never planning to boycott it themselves. I don’t think that’s a good thing, but I think they’re well aware of the implications of those articles.
