Do you know why? I see more and more trees being cut in both urban and rural areas and it’s sad and concerning.
Jokes aside, any real explanation?
Is this like that time when they cut the trees on Limpertsberg (av. Pasteur?) “to own the greens”? The greens asked for more bycycle paths and the city said, sure, we’ll just cut down all these trees to replace them with a bycycle path.
Based. They’re just making sure rue de Strasbourg looks appropriately miserable. Can’t have any colour of nature in that part of town.
This is probably for preparations of streetworks starting in november, normally they “rehome” the trees, these were either diseased or the roots to big so they couldnt easily remove them whole.
They are remodeling the street so maybe these trees were in the new planned traffic lane so they have to be repositioned.
Edit: Yeah if you look at the plans in one of the other comments you can see that this intersection is getting remodeled so they had to remove the old trees and new ones are getting planted.
Calm down, if you don’t cut down trees at a certain point they become too big and start destroying critical infrastructure around. Let them do their job in peace.
*Trees, we don’t need no stinkin’ trees.*

Has anyone noticed the big trees in Bereldange, on the corner with the road to Strassen? Of course not, they were all cut down recently.
They should better attack drug addicts with their equipment
Running out of firewoods
Great job! That is exactly what Lux Ville needs 🤦🏻♂️, less trees and more concrete, just like Glacis or the new Pl. Paris 👍🏽

These trees are likely being used to hide drugs
