Hello! I was wondering why Finnish water (lakes, rivers etc) has brown water, first I thought is because the lakes don’t have any clean water flow but then I have seen the rivers around the country and they are also brown, I have taken in a glass water and let it sit for a while and was still brown.
Can someone explain me why?

I have tried to check in google and it says is because the bottom is the lakes are mud but even if is not in a lake the water is brown.
I always thought it was because the water is rich in iron. Can anyone confirm?
