Socio economic status is way more important to diversity that people think. Why is x grp under represented in y profession? Cos they start from down the well of poverty.
Live in a shit area, go to a shit school, eat shit food, dont get grades to go to uni cos they have to work, and you want to make more x’s in y jobs?
Gotta start at the start.
Give them a break. A lot of them have only just got here. Give them 20 years and they’ll be richer than you. Are they in deeper poverty than before they came here? Probably not.
They should elect people from their own ethnic groups to government and this would….. oh, wait.
