  1. *”Meanwhile the Tories, officially the Conservative and Unionist party, have prioritised Brexit over the union. In a 2019 YouGov poll, 59% of party members said they would accept Northern Ireland leaving the UK as a price of Brexit.”*

    Britain wants rid of NI.

  2. Would be nice to get it over with. Move on with “the future”. Turn NI into just another boring part of first world europe.

Instead of the continuous head counting of catholics and protestants. And endless debates about when it’s going to happen.

However, FFG seem to be dragging their heels on the main blockers of a UI; sláintecare and cost of housing. Because those are the two things the 30% of NI that are not “british only” or “Irish only” are looking at. And they decide NI’s future…

    > it’s a class thing, it’s about whether you can heat your house,” says Niall Carson, 23, a Belfast barman.

So NI will join whichever Tory lead country that manages to be the least-Tory Tories!!!

Of course Mr UDA man Richard Stitt is talking about violence starting up again (doesn’t say by who of course) if there’s a UI. But he’s also the same guy who said…

“I have three girls aged 21, 16 and one and a half years old, and I don’t want them to suffer the way we did growing up.”

  3. Some of you are actually clinging in total desperation to the hope that the people of Ireland don’t want to unite the country “ if we can just mention the cost that’ll make the bad Fenian bastards go away”. Ok then TELL US THE COST” see how fast we all run away.

  4. It felt closer back in 2018/2019 when Stormont had collapsed, Brexit negotiations were dragging on, and we’d passed abortion/gay marriage referendums. Unification polls at the time were better than they are now.

  5. Would people holding UK passports have to leave or get visas. Asking a friend here, I don’t actually know what is the agreement, and how it will work if you know, the Friday agreement becomes less relevant

  6. They won’t be happy when they have to take part in another civil rights march because of lack of housing
