The ones that can easily joke about death, especially their own have at least thought about it and considered it, how far gone they are? That’s the hard part to work out.
Tbf I was at uni and told them multiple times I was suicidal with doctors notes and then when I stopped showing up no one bothered to make any contact with me. I’m aware that it’s not their job to make sure I show up, and they have thousands of students, but I really could’ve just been dead in my room for a year.
