  1. It’s embarrassing when FG supporters pull this shit about Sinn Féin’s history and it’s equally as embarrassing when SF supporters pull this shit about even older Fine Gael history.

Unless you want all politicians judged on their parties history, in which case I guess Go Greens?

  2. In case you are wondering where he’s coming from on the Blueshirts comment…. the Blueshirts organistion was founded because the 1930’s IRA (who were more closely aligned to FF at the time than SF) were going around breaking up political party meetings of parties they didn’t agree with.

This is a nice write up about the period. Crazy to think that Fianna Fáil were considered near communist at the time https://www.theirishstory.com/2012/05/18/the-blueshirts-fascism-in-ireland/#.Y0cLrffTUWM

  3. I’m absolutely convinced that if we had tried to get our independence by a referendum instead of a revolution, Fine Gael would have campaigned on the No side.

  4. I did Nazi that coming. Nah, totally saw that coming from the Nazi cunt, with Cromwells bollix in his mouth.

  5. This panic is very similar to when the left first came to power in several Latin American countries and the right (which always supported military dictatorships) created a panic saying that left-wing politicians were “communist terrorist guerrillas” who would “steal” people’s homes. The right always hides its fascist past to present itself as morally superior against people who justly defended themselves against oppression and colonialism. The reality, to the frustration of the right, is that left-wing governments have reduced inequality and delivered growth of 7% per year.
