Man, this is really sad while the energy companies are making billions. And winter hasn’t even begun yet…
Fully agreed that energy companies must be forced to cap their enormous profits. This is a force majeure situation, so companies must absolutely share with the people and countries they operate in without exceptions. This money is to be used to subsidise prices for the people and other businesses.
At the same time as much as I understand the desire to stay warm, it is not even cold yet. We are not using heating yet and our house is old and shitty. So you need to be extra kind of special to use barbecue at home knowing well that it is dangerous. You hear this at school, from the people, on the news – everywhere that even having an old fireplace is dangerous and that annually people die from CO2 poisoning.
Hope the investigation reveals what truly happened. Maybe the mother and daughter decided to commit suicide together which would be a completely different matter.
Expect to see a lot more of this while the companies and political elite abuse this crisis to enrich themselves.

I called it several months ago, that shit like this would happen, isn’t the first, isn’t going to be the last unfortunatly.
I mean yeah it’s really sad but there’s also a bit of Darwin award in there. It’s just such a dumb and obviously dangerous thing to do.
A few weeks back I encountered a couple with a young child buying !!7!! petrol heaters
I really wonder how many people don’t have carbon monoxide alarms in their home at all. Some don’t even bother with fire alarms even though they’re mandatory, it blows my mind.
Just the beginning of ridiculous carbon emissions changes. Europe at it’s finest. A few more years and we processed regressive.

Man i once had that when i was 17… Dont wish it on anybody to die that way…
Woke up middle of the night and though my heart was failing on me (slow beating) headacke was splitting my head in 2… Finally had the courage to get out of bed went downstairs and put myself on the floor yelled till the rest of my family came down mom put me outside on a chair and called for an ambulance… spend a full day trowing up and passing out. Luckily the others where fine, turned out a chimney we had was too short and it was right next to my bedroom window so they figured out after looking into it that if the wind blew the wrong way it would just come in my bedroom through some cracks.
But yeah be careful people. Horrible way to go out on
This is exactly the reason why we should break some windows in “de Wetstraat”.

BBQ in house is a bad idea, yes! But people shouldn’t be forced to make this decisions! A lot have been being small wood stoves and have the same risk.
When I read this article this morning a got so angry and sad! These things shouldn’t be accepted! And should be over the news all day long! Instead of the B.S. we keep seeing!
On a side note: Smoke or CO detectors.
I’ve had what they call, an electrical fire. Caused by a faulty twist button from a baby cook. Basically a blender and steamer in one.
Luckilly we weren’t home. People were seeing smoke coming through the air vents of the windows befor the alarms were sounding!

There was an article where someone used their car to charge batterys to then use at home to power apliances.
Yeah you just use more fuel and depending the losses you might be wasting money.
