It’s like a competition now.
A voter in Bury North (a key marginal) on Radio5 this morning thought the whole thing had been media created. Even said they were hounding her like they did Boris with negative stories.
The ironic thing is that the 1% have lost the most with the death of the pound and had to convince her to backtrack.
The problem is literally every PM we’ve had since 1979 had been doing this, Liz Truss just had the poor fortune to be in charge once we were done cooking, but pinning all of this on her is a mistake, when it’s really just the inevitable consequence of the ideology that she and every other PM since thatcher has attached themselves too.
Did everyone miss the part that we left the single market and we have the highest rates of income tax in all of Europe?
Even Norway is 38% on high earners.
How is the UK supposed to be competitive and grow the economy?
The tories are doing what the owners did to WrexhamFC, literally just carving up the assets and flogging it off – before handing it to Labour.
They don’t intent do stay in power. They just want the wealth.
