That the guvernment is takin’ away our rights and our jerbs, this is a flag telling us to vote against the reenactment of the covid law as it implements the use of a covid pass (vaccinated, tested negative or recovered) to do activites like going to a restaurant.
If you vote yes: restaurants can be shut down by authorities if the situation is unbearable because of an epidemic, however they are entitled to a monetary compensation.
If you vote no: the restaurant can still be shut down because of the previous law on epidemics written in response to the Spanish flu. No monetary compensation.
It means “I am an idiot”.

Some of the voters against the covid laws fear that the contact tracing part of the law is enabling the government to spy on us.
That means they believe bullshit from telegram and dont believe Doctors who reasearch covid.
People conflagrate the PMT with the COVID law. They want the COVID law gone while they actually should want to reverse the PMT law. And I would not be surprised if they voted for it too when they thought it would only be used to target evil foreigners.
But fuck are these people loud and the coverage in the media is ridiculously huge, gives the impression they are a majority while they are only a very small minoroty. Sadly, like that, votes can be won.
What does it have to do with mass surveillance? Are they refering to Covid testing?

It means that Covid Vaccines come with an implanted Microchip which blows up in exacly 5 years after getting the shot.
I work in the healthcare industry and I’m a medic in the army, so I know a thing or two about Covid. Also worked during the first wave. The thing is, I also work with many people who are for example even nursing assistants (not bashing nursing assistants here, they are our backbone) who don’t believe in Covid and think it’s a hoax. They even enter Covid patients rooms without masks to catch Covid in order to get the ‘recovered’ certificate and are endangering others while doing so. 2 of them got fired at the institution I work at because of this recently.
This is so weird, i see these flags everywhere. I don’t get it, Switzerland is one of the countries that managed to avoid a huge covid disaster and yet people are protesting the rules. I mean, coming from a country where nobody cares about restrictions and infections absolutely soaring over the last few weeks it just makes zero sense.
It means that many Swiss still care about things like rights, freedom, and privacy that must be respected even during times of crises, and the people in this thread hate them for it.
That they’re lacking a brain and asking to be left alone.

I usually ask people coming with this argument, if they are aware that we voted and accepted on an actual surveillance bill this spring. But I guess it’s ok when it’s “against terrorism”

What really pisses me off is the use of the term “Verschärfung”, implying that what we’re voting on is increased restrictions, which is *not* what the referendum is about. I’m sure they’ve got some verbal gymnastics on their website that justify the use of this word, but it’s 100% obvious that it’s intentionally misleading.
Having said that, I think the only way this doesn’t pass is if the reasonable part of the country is too complacent and assumes there’s no need to vote because it’ll pass anyway, so I’m going to make a point of voting, and I hope those of you who can vote will.
