Spearheaded by Germany, the initiative aims to create a European air and missile defence system through the common acquisition of air defence equipment and missiles by European nations. This will strengthen NATO’s Integrated Air and Missile Defence.

Better late than never, but this should have had happened decades ago. Poland and friends always warned of the threat, they were not listened to. Does anyone know why Poland is not part of this? Because we’re doing our own thing with Patriots?

    But better later then never.

    Ten years ago they should do that already without any big announcement

    When Putin invade Ukraine they should start immediately, not after the attack .. that means. They are very”lazy” in thinking and operation without vision.

    So sad. But happy they start now.

  4. Yeah we’re covered and have everything contracted already. Germans might have issues with actually contracting anything because US have a saying in that and german side isn’t very reliable inteligence wise. So for the initiative to actually work there might be some developing needed.

  5. Poland is not part od it because we have, MANPADs, Pilica, Pilica+, Mała Narew, Narew and Wisła. Which is VSHORAD, short range, extended short range, mid range, extended mid range, and long range anti ICBM systems in that order. I think it’s safe to say we also won’t have Russian MiGs, Su and Tu flying over Poland, and im also confident in saying we won’t have polish version of Kramatorsk if push comes to shove with Russia.

    We’ve basically built (arguably) the best air defence in Europe, as soon as all batteries come online.

  6. We not only have the Patriot one but also have the Sky Saber from the UK- AS well as the items other people here mentioned.

    This looks like a way to try and save its arms industry or secure some more market share (not saying it in a bad way but clearly the US is getting better weapons publicity recently then Germany) within Europe, also Germany has lost face in europe in terms of military ever since their piss poor effort toward Ukraine, dragging their feet as well as their own generals at the start of this saying they arent ready for war

  9. I want Poland to have Iron Dome and nuclear warheads. Then I sleep safe and sound. I won’t care anything else.
    Wait maybe nuclear energy would be great too. Any party that brings it to me got my vote I don’t give a shit anymore. I’m tired.
