It is an old petition but it’s gaining signatures again recently after his spat of outrageous decisions.

Almost at 30,000. A good push on this would get it into media again. I know petitions aren’t the answer and I totally agree with the previous post about emailing TDs but the more attention on this sick b*stard and his abhorrent sentencing practices, the better.

  1. Do you think any of his fellow judges have at all had a quiet word with him about his BS sentences? or any top politicians/justice ministers had even a more discreet word with him

  2. I signed the partition, no problem with that all. But what does the donation go to? If one were to give

  3. The Criminal Justice System has become an industry. Judges, barristers and solicitors have a financial incentive to keep habitual criminals on the street. Every crime they commit is a new trial and another 15 or 20 thousand in legal fees. A lad with 100 convictions getting the probation act is seen as a cash cow for them.

Mandatory sentencing needs to be introduced for certain serious crimes and for all repeat offences. Then the discretion to reduce sentences below that mandatory level must be taken out of the hands of the justice industry.

  4. The whole system needs a complete overhaul. Needs to be rebuilt for the modern era. Our sentencing is a complete joke and the only people punished are those in road traffic “offences” as in financial..speeding , no tax etc.. . The countries criminal justice system is nothing more than a revenue collection agency. The Gards can put thousands of hours into a case only for it to be reduced in it’s seriousness to a slap on the wrist and a middle finger to the victim. It’s become a situation where it’s no longer worth calling the gards for most incidents outside of road traffic. I can only imagine they are severally demoralized. Suspended sentences should be the exception not the rule. But we’ll trundle on with Jimmy with his 955 convictions being a nice young lad from a bad background , he’s looking for help and has been seeking help for his addiction to burglary, theft , assault and manslaughter.. poor jimmy.
