  1. No, we insert them rectally.

Jokes aside: Yes, plenty of people enjoy salty licorice. Licorice is not my favourite candy, but I prefer salty licorice over sweet.

  2. I love those, they give you a kick in the balls first, then they turn super tasty. Just let it sit in your mouth for a while.

  3. I mean this isn’t too far off the snus taste though? Unless you buy candy snus.

Salmiak candy, the only candy I eat. So yes 🙂

  4. Why are you suprised? There is a god damn troll right on the front of the bag.

    Its like a warning label.

  5. Congratulations on your first step on acquiring a taste other than “super sweet”. We know it can be hard to not eat something that is pure sugar, but we appreciate your effort!

  6. I went to the disgusting food museum. There you can try stuff at the end. Non Swedish people ahead of us tried weird fruits, fermented stuff and insects with no issue. Could not handle salt licorice though. Jättesalt is kinda tame, you should try svenskjävlar.

  7. to be honest that brand and make is to bland and looses it’s flavour to quickly. There are others that are more salty and keep the flavour over a longer period of time. If you ever find some try buying some from the brand “Nørregade”, they are my favorite easy ti come by hard and salty lakrits.

  8. Oooh, I love these! When I was a kid I loved the salty shock in the start. Now there is no shock, just pure salty, licorice flavour. Sometime I take two and just let them roll around in my mouth.
Jätte Salt (Really Salty), hmm not really. But salty enough.

added: Jätte means Giant aswell as very, hence the troll/giant or whatever on the bag. Candy with a good pun. 10/10

  9. Jättesalt var än av mina favorit godisar när jag var liten, köpte dem varje gång vi fick köpa lördagsgodis.

  10. Ok completely serious answer, these kind of salted candies are a “love it or hate it” kind of candy. I personally can’t stand it, but I’ve met plenty of people for whom this is the nectar of the gods.

It’s salted liquorice so if you 1. Don’t like liquorice you’ll hate it and 2. It’s SALTED liquorice meaning you first have to like liquorice and then like it salted.

Don’t be surprised if you find it absolutely repulsive, 50ish % of us Swedes do as well. I think this is kind of a gag by the company producing the snus you imported.

  11. Seeing americans try salt licorice for the first time is one of lifes simple pleasures. 90% of the time they react like you do, “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK THIS IS DISGUSTING WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE” and 10% of the time it’s like “WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS DELICIOUS WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE.”

  12. Wait until you find out that “småsalta” mean slightly salty. When I was a kid, we got these, but the sour variant. I ate enough of them to make my cheek bleed.
