    I think the latter is a modern reincarnation of the former. The only living Shoneen. He even goes by his “Sir”.

  2. Robert Peel, he was the PM during the first year or so of the famine. While not in charge for the worst part of it he definitely contributed to the “let them sort themselves out” attitude that was the main British response. Also mismanaged a lot of early relief efforts

  3. I’d put Eamon De Valera on that list. He fucked Collins under the bus, backed the bus up and ran over him again. And how more Irish don’t realise what he did and think he was a great man or some kind of hero, is mind boggling! He knew exactly what he was doing sending Collins over to negotiate the treaty knowing full well no one, including himself, could have gotten a 32 county Ireland with the same level of self rule. He made Collins the scapegoat & effectively signed his death warrant.
