  1. UK households are facing an increase in their bills this month despite prime minister Liz Truss announcing a £150bn support plan to limit energy costs to £2,500 per annum for the typical household over the next two years.
Even with the cap in place, the price of electricity from October 1 has increased to 34p per kilowatt hour (kWh) and gas to 10p/kWh. While the rise is lower than initially feared, it still represents an increase of 62 per cent and 158 per cent, respectively, when compared with last winter’s prices.

  2. ‘kinnel, those sliders are wild AF

It keeps reverting me to 720 minutes of an electric heater without me touching it

  3. Fucking hell, the real shock is the cost of powering broadband.

Do they think were all mining crypto on the quiet?

ETA: Looks like theyve updated the graphic now. Phew, thought that was a bit steep!

  4. £2.88/day to live life to the fullest for me. Say £90/m for electric? Not so bad. Not happy about paying 90 instead of 60 like last year but still.

    Interesting.
