Lets pay no income tax on income. Brilliant argument.
Is it possible to vote against a petition?
Yes sir, I’d prefer making minumum wage with a bonus of 80k at the end of the year to avoid paying taxes.
Lets pay no income taxes and bridge the gap by only paying property taxes where the real non-value generating wealth is concentrated. Who is with me? (Downvote away ;))
Belated aprils fool joke?
This is prolly the most stupid post Ive read in the history of /r/luxembourg
Well, while I don’t think it would be either fair or reasonable to eliminate taxes on bonuses altogether, I still fail to understand why they are/have been taxed at 50%. As far as I understood the new tax reform will realign bonuses to personal income %.
Seems like it was set up by someone who was not aware that bonuses get taxed LOL
Something that might be better (probably not), is not to tax smaller, one off, bonuses that employees are awarded as recognition on a work anniversary or similar e.g. 10 years service = €500 bonus tax free. Getting a bonus and seeing what you’re left with after tax leaves it a bit deflating (not that it happens to me very often). There needs to be a threshold, otherwise it will be abused.
The petition reached 4500 signatures ! Thank you all!

Lol.
Why? It’s earned income, not a lottery win.
