What does “modern country” mean? Spain, Belgium, Netherlands and UK are still the same monarchies from the colonial era. Those numbers are certainly *way” too low for Western countries.

Бях в Ниш преди време. В окопът около крепостта има информационна табелка. Мислех, че пише интересен факт за окопът, такива неща.
Всъщност, табелката беше за паметникът до нея, на стената на окопа, който бе посветен на сръбски партизани, екзекутирани от българските войски, при завладяването на Ниш.
What got me, беше, че на самия паметник седеше млада сръбска двойка, жмулеща бира. Поздравихме се и ги попитах дали знаят нещо за паметника. Пича отговори, че не знае. Набързо му преразказах какво гласи табелката и казах нещо от сорта на “I just learned that my countrymen executed your countrymen here”.
Неговият отговор, без да му мигне окото бе: “So? We killed a lot of Bosnians.”
П.п. ако искате да видите какви неща сме правили, просто прочетете за балканските войни най-малко. А все се правим на потърпевшите.
