Damn it! Just missed it by about 5 miles and 20 years.
My school is doing online learning for tomorrow only, there’ll be a lot of “downed” Wi-Fi tomorrow…also, students don’t have their book, really fckin pointless tbh.
Is the East likely to get worse? I work outside and they’ve not mentioned this storm at all. I also cycle to work so maybe I won’t tomorrow morning.
Are colleges included in this?
Crèches ?
What’s the deal if wfh and wifi/electric goes? Surely they can’t ask you to travel to the office if the schools are out and it’s a red warning?
I think right now it’s suggested not ordered.
We’re in Dublin. Should I assume the school is closed or wait for an email?
Yahooo lie in
Am I missing something here ? I’m in Meath and we’re hearing that schools and creches are closing tomorrow !
We’ve had storms before and schools etc were open(Parent who has just found out creche is shut tomorrow and is now struggling to figure out work and childcare tomorrow! )
My power is going off tomorrow
Totally off topic, but I’m always mildly delighted for the Met Éireann guys when there’s a weather emergency. I imagine them all excited in their office. Maybe they get a storm cake.
Closing schools and creches in Orange areas is an over reaction. This is not something we did in the initial days of the colour warning system.
Are the government just gone mental now with abundance of caution in every facet of life?
The midlands just got even more depressing for young people.
Spent 2 minutes looking at that map trying to figure out how Kerry had floated off from the rest of Ireland
What was a name of that storm few years ago that everyone was panicking about but in the end it didn’t manage to tip a single wheelie bin over?
Live in Limerick but work in Tipp and our cunt of a boss making us come in. Disgraceful
Lads what are the chances the midlands get upgraded to orange? Would love a bed day tomorrow!
Jesus… how very dramatic.
There’s a big Ferris wheel in the top floor carpark at The Square in Tallaght,
Can’t wait to see who’s garden it’ll end up in
Yet I get to drive around in me Double Decker all night
Sound of the high winds to respect the county borders
Bet all those kiddos that go to school in the Atlantic and Irish Sea are happy to hear school is out.
