  1. > “People think people on benefits use foodbanks as a way of life. But actually a lot of our customers use foodbanks for the first time in their life and they’re embarrassed by it.

This is a key message (along with the fact the ppl are REFERRED to foodbanks, they dont just turn up for “free stuff”) that needs to be got across to the demographic who have contempt for “bloody scroungers”

The policies that, needlessly, punish the vulnerable will continue as long as the British Public hate immigration more than they love the NHS and as long as they hate “scroungers” more than they support a welfare state that allows people in need to live in dignity.

i.e. so long as the British public keeps on electing Conservative governments.

  2. I’m sorry, I know the standard reaction here is “oh well at least they realised eventually”. But what a moron. How could you not see this? What rock were they living under? What party did they think they were in? We’re supposed to give credit for reaching a conclusion that a child could have grasped.

  3. “As the founder of my local hospital’s Feline Facial Injuries ward, I have realised that the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party may be part of the problem and that I can no longer support them.”

  4. What made them think the Tories were ever the party of the working class? Was he born after Thatcher was PM? Did he not see Cameron and the right wing press go to war on those on benefits? Better late than never but they have had their head in the sand for too long.

  5. Seeing the last week of tory flimflam.

    Braveman saying what she thinks
    Gove saying what he thinks
    Mordant saying what she thinks
Kwateng blaming the queen inconveniently dying
    Pm blaming kwateng
    And many more

It is actually now laughable in some ways. They know they’re on the way out and have a fuck it attitude.

  6. Sort of want to go ‘Told you so” but it is better that people learn from mistakes (no matter how slowly” than not at all.
