Someone’s already pointed out that three big characters in Andor are played by Irish women (Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough and Fiona Shaw) but Dubliner Stanley Townsend deserves a shout out too. He put in a really memorable performance as a despicable imperial character. Definitely worth checking out.

Watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really liking the quality of the show so far. The acting is so good you would not think its starwars.
Best star wars thing ever (including the original movies which are overrated), the writing is just a huge cut above.
It’s the same lad who did some of the bourne movies and Michael Clayton
This is a high quality show and Stanley Townsend is part of that for sure.
Any middle-agers out there – did I see him in *Glenroe* years ago?
I really liked Rogue One so this is exactly why I liked Andor, can’t complain about it at all.
I only found out recently that general madine in the original star wars, was our own Dermot Crowley
