Havnt seen us play in a football world cup since I was six, great to be back in one and great achievement for the women’s team!
COYGIG
Unbelievable achievement from the girls
Brosnan our keeper was class, saved a penalty and a few decent shots too.
Victory Screech!!!
Great goal to win it too!
Great news 👍🏻
COYGIG. Was a great finish.
Amazing. Amber Barrett comes off as a really impressive person. Will be great craic watching Ireland play teams at 7 in the morning again.
And 5? Years ago they had them changing and handing back tracksuits or something. They deserve this after all the shite the FAI gave them. Brilliant.
Great stuff. I heard the last half hour on the radio. Edge of the seat stuff after the goal. A World Cup to look forward to next summer
Up the Vera Pauw
Gowan the girls!
Well that was tense. Great result.
Love that she’s from Donegal also. Her goal celebration was just perfect. Fully emotional charge with a nation behind her. Great for all the country in such a horrible time
Just 5 short years ago the women on the national team outlined some of the most basic wants and needs a team could ask for, see below. Thankfully the FAI listened and women’s team is now resourced to a basic standard and as result are going to a World Cup. Fair play to all the women on that team, many of whom won’t be going to the World Cup, but this is undoubtedly their victory too. Mon the gals!

Well done to the team! Felt a bit emotional watching the dad hug his playing daughter after the final whistle. There’s hope for my daughter and hopefully the women’s game will continue to grow in popularity and develop
Get down to the Women’s National League and support these girls properly lads! It’s a completely open 4-way title challenge
Bring a tear to a glass eye great game

Honestly don’t keep up with the team, or much international football outside of the WC and Euros, I enjoyed the last two Women’s tournaments a lot. Happy to see Ireland there.
Ah lads can’t believe it, I can honestly say now I played with someone who is gonna play in the World Cup finals, though years ago 😁 Huge for women’s sport in Ireland 🇮🇪
