Norway Should Share Its War Windfall with Ukraine

  1. I support this. 25% of additional earnings is reasonable in the current situation I think, and anyhow I believe it will be a good “investment” in ensuring stability in a region close to Norway, after peace is won.

  2. Nah. There is no precedent for fluctuations in global markets caused by either humanitarian or political crises being used to extract wealth from the benificiaries of these changes. Norway has not been involved in the escalation of conflict in Ukraine, and has already contributed weapons and funds. This is an odd but typical suggestion from a particular class of people.

  3. Allies should have continued pushing eastwards 77 years ago. Now we gotta do the cleanup and end it for good this time around.

  4. Norway has for the third time in its history issued collective protection for ukranian refugees. We’ve given military training and equipment, while also trying to fill Russia’s empty shoes as a gas exporter.

Sure, Norway makes some money from this conflict, but we are painting a russian target on our back as we do so.
