Trinity blames ‘underfunding’ as college slips further down global university rankings

  1. One of the largest giveaway budgets in recent history and we still couldn’t fund our universities properly. We will reap what we sow here in 20 years when our graduate quality has dropped and MNCs with high bars start to prefer other countries for their large employment operations.

  2. Trinity focusing on the right things? Stem seems the only thing a table is going to appreciate.

Also, you can pay for ranking. . Look up columbia and rankings. Pay = you’re great. Don’t, drop like a stone.

Wouldn’t having papers cited, be a way of ranking colleges/professors?

  3. Couldn’t be anything to do with the “No Child Left Behind” policy? Perhaps the focus should be more on educational quality and research as opposed to getting as many students in and out the door as possible.

  4. Overpaid lectures with crap teaching skills and research built on the backs of poorly paid postdocs and PHd students would be where id make the first cutbacks to fund more lecturer posts.

Also most research done is crap and driven by what might show up well in a google search.
